Denninger Custom Finials
Trinity Baptist Church - NYC, NY

Trinity Baptist Church, on East 61st Street between 2nd & 3rd avenues in
New York City, is a Manhattan landmark. It was designed by architect Martin
Gravely Hedmark in 1929 as a richly symbolic combination of art and
architecture, and dedicated in 1931. In 1993, we were commissioned by Fifty
Three Restorations to make replicas of the original Rooster Finials on the West
and the East Spires. The original wrought iron finials were weather beaten and
broken after only 64 years, and we agreed that the new ones should be crafted
of longer-lasting copper and brass. The photo shows the originals together in
the center and the replicas on the far right and left.
